Treadgold is completely misinterpreting the situation.This is not a buy up by a predator who simply"must have" more iron ore,it is a sell out by weak willed management who took the first low ball offer that came along because transportation issues were getting too hard for them and they wanted to cash in their free options asap and move on.Have to agree with you ACB,and the damage has already been done because UMC management have endorsed the deal,implying that SH should be happy with this rort.Just hope it does'nt happen to more in the Pilbara.I do not hold UMC,but the reason this sort of corporate behaviour peeves me is that it reinforces my belief that 99% of directors are out for self gain,and if you are on the right side of the deal then you are lucky,if not,then too bad,they will do it anyway,despite any assurances to the contrary.That is why I never attend SH meetings anymore.
