GOLDSTAR Resources' ongoing infill drilling program at the Tubal Cain dyke bulge within its Walhalla gold project in Victoria has returned visible gold in two samples and confirming a potentially significant expansion to the northern end of the dyke.

Results have so far been received from one out of four diamond drill holes, with the first hole returning visible gold in two intersections out of 11 mineralised zones intercepted in total.

The hole was drilled above the previous drill hole that intersected 29 individual mineralised zones and returned four individual samples with gold grades greater than 30 grams per tonne.

The recent hole was targeted to provide Goldstar with further confidence in the mineralised zones within the dyke.

Results include 0.3m at 18.4gpt gold from 413.0m, 0.95m at 14.7gpt gold from 428.7m and 1m at 7.6gpt gold from 190m.

In addition, a "significant high-grade zone of mineralisation" was intersected on the northern margin of Tubal Cain and Goldstar said the results provide confirmation of an expansion of the dyke bulge of up to 10% below a depth of 250m.

"The hole was designed as part of the in-fill program to 450m depth and to assist in designing the future Bulk Sample location at Tubal Cain," Goldstar said.

"It targeted and intercepted eight of the previously identified 15 high-grade quartz reefs at, providing strong validation of the geological and mineralisation model for the Tubal Cain dyke bulge."

Results from the second hole are expected early next year, while the third hole is currently being logged and sampled and the fourth hole currently being drilled.
