    The central issue is Australian banks are stuck in the 1990's. How is the mortgage broking industry still a thing? Tafe diploma financial advisors too? Why do they outsource credit checks of their own customers when they have more data themselves?

    The headline is incorrect. Mistrust is not the issue. Incompetence is.
