Yeah it's dumb to lump max $1200 debts in with other credit products. Using afterpay is actually the same as using a debit card when you think about it. No extra cost, paid in full with your own money in 6-8 weeks. It's just delaying your expenses. Whereas with a credit card you can have $20k+ limits and can take over 40 years to pay that off with minimum repayments of 2% and interest rates of 20%.
