WA Government (Barnett) will be pulling all sorts of strings to encourage investment back into the WA economy, they certainly will not be impressed by a WA company investing in Senegal.
Now WPL are saying if the COP deal does not come off they will simply move on to something else, bit of a difference in tone don't you think !
Maybe the announcement they are reverting back to the pipeline concept to develop Browse is just to deflect attention away from the Senegal deal, as they recognise it now hangs in the balance.
Sounds like the making of another WPL miscalculation to me and now WPL PR dept are implementing a smoke screen and diversionary tactics through the media.
WPL must be fully aware of who is backing FAR, this would have leaked out. IMO
