A somewhat sad story of the triumph hope and ignorance , over good science and management.
Did anyone actually do a pilot plant?
They talk about UWA doing field trials on broadacre crops.
These were commenced in 2019 , meant to run for 2 seasons .
As the article says , not published as yet.

“Early field trials Australian Potash has been involved in show that yields on broadacre crops like canola can increase 30 percent with the application of sulphate of potash when compared with using muriate of potash,” Australian Potash former CEO Matt Shackleton wrote in the Countryman in 2022.

If the trials haven't been published yet , you can be pretty sure that 30% yield increase touted by Shakleton is as reliable as the profits people made from investment in APC . The lack of publishing suggests that there were problems with the design or execution of the trial.
If there really was a widespread 30% increase in yield for SOP in canola , over mop , then nobody would be using mop, and they would be screaming the results to the heavens.
As far as I am aware , there is no overseas data suggesting such an effect.
Note however that WA soils do have some special characteristics.
