Do you really expect Regal would tell the people at the AFR they were "actively" planning it before actually telling the market though!
The Golden Goose here is the PM capital fund that trades at a premium, they need to keep those shareholders happy and if they were to find out via the AFR that they were getting merged with VG1 it'd be trading at a discount pretty quickly!
