Why doesn't this person list his income or at least his expenses. How many times a week does he eat out? Where does his spend his money?
My grandparents and my parents rarely eat out or spent money on new technological gadgets etc. They saved all they could to buy a house. When I was a first home buyer I also made sure I saved where I could. Gen Y are spending $60 a month just on a mobile phone plan, add in lunches for work $15 a day at least, $200 on a Friday night for drinks etc.
