This piqued my interest so I decided to call a mortgage broker who I used for a loan previously.
From what he was saying, GLA has a stricter criteria than Money3 - which is odd considering the quality of the book like you suggested. They have probably tightened up recently.
I asked him about credit corp too - it's called carstart finance. He hadn't used them personally but heard they were the lender of last resort.
Lastly he suggested that MNY might be attempting to replicate Liberty, who started as a subprime lender before shifting their focus to better quality customers. It would be an easier way to get a $1b loan book.
