What Buru did not address in this media release is that the main problem with radioactive flowback water is that it concentrates in scale in pipes and in the sludge. There are no sites in W.A. for storing radioactive waste. I would suggest that with their own admission that fracking is not yet financially viable in the Canning Basin, this adds up to making it even less so.
The dust cannot be allowed to blow around on the breeze and the ponds if they leak or overflow will result in the radioactivity concentrating elsewhere. Buru must say how they plan to deal with all this or all we are doing is BSing ourselves.
