I am trying to understand the Strzelecki Track funding structure as its a bit confusing. Federal Govt had commited $100m to the project, with SA Govt and/or PPP's having to find the additional required funding (estimated $150-180m).
Now the SA Budget is stating the following:
FAR NORTH, EYRE AND WESTERN
$135m OVER 3 YEARS
Complete a continuous sealed
corridor to the Queensland
border ($180m total cost)
So I am assuming $100m from the Feds and $35m from SA Govt.
This Track is key as it could create a north-south connection + continuous freight route from WA to QLD.
Leigh Creek being bang in the middle/center of it all.
