In other markets I could perhaps agree that one bad egg could overflow to tarnish all. But the key thing to remember with battery storage is that it is not negotiable. Every single stakeholder in the energy market needs it. A 30 second top of the head run down (I'm sure others could provide many more examples):
From a distributor - The increase in solar PV is stuffing up the network with the drastic swings in demand. Further, the ridiculous amount spent on Capex to supply jack all people is nuts. They are also petrified about the spread of micro grid / DA so will want to be a head of the curve
From retailers - the power of choice initiative currently underway across the NEM will mean retailers will bundle up battery storage a create a consolidated offering to win customers
From the consumer - PV tariffs falling, continued rising power costs, EVs, ability to be self sufficient, better power management etc etc.
