People should not allow themselves to be so easily influenced by nonsense talk. I puzzled over what motivation Taylor might have for being so unjustifiably and sweepingly negative without even attempting to give a full picture.

Peak flows from Habanero were 27 l per sec and sustained flows were around 23 l per sec through a particular dia orifice. After just one stimulation this was a very successful achievement. It was never intended that there would be only one flow path through the heat reservoir. Multilayer stimulation was planned and investigated. If 5 such flow paths can be stimulated then one immediately has in excess of 100 l per sec. Dicko a few weeks ago mentioned that he had been involved overseas with drilling such multi layered reservoirs some years ago. Hence this is nothing new. GDY has also done its own investigation into the techniques required.

In the last paragraph of his diatribe Taylor tries hard to discourage geothermal government funding by classing it as a "squandering of taxpayers' funds." He seems to have his nose out joint over some other issue. Note that he is no longer a director of PTR.

It is rather disgraceful that he seems to be trying to undo the valiant efforts of an entire industry that is so desperately strapped for cash.
