Aside from shareholders, the Mt Kare project really does represent the future for the peoples of Mt Kare.
It always has and many hold high hopes for it bring community and ifrastrcta development to what is one of the more remote areas of PNG
Given the support from the local and regional communities the Kare project is unstoppable.
The Mt Kare project has come to represent mch more than “another mine” in PNG.
It embodies a massive policy initiative for the region with a planned N/S access road through from Tari (and the southern coast) to Kare and onward to Porgera and the E/W Highlands Highway
