A new chapter began to be written in the dispute that exists for the permit granted by the Ministry of Mining to Codelco, for
exploit your lithium belongings in the Salar de Maricunga.
And is that in addition to the appeal for economic protection filed a few weeks ago in the Court of
Minera Salar Blanco appeals, linked to businessman Martín Borda, also went to the Court
Constitutional Court, which finally processed the appeal, in a resolution signed by the president of
    the entity, Iván Aróstica.
All this after the company of Australian and Canadian capitals accused that the permission granted
by the previous government blocks the possibility of developing his project and that there are dyes of
    unconstitutionality in the authorization.
The axis of the arguments presented by the private firm seeks to declare the resolution as
contrary to the Constitution, which requires Codelco to have a qualified quorum law to carry out different activities that are not complementary to the exploitation of copper.
For the next few weeks it is expected that the Constitutional Court will receive Codelco's releases and
of the Ministry of Mining, to subsequently summon the parties to a hearing, so the cause
lodged in the Court of Appeals was suspended until there is a resolution.
"It is not credible that he goes too fast"
Meanwhile, the chairman of the board of the state, Óscar Landerretche, said last Wednesday that
Although the intention of the Corporation is to promote the exploitation of lithium, he admitted that achieving it will not be
    very fast.
In his last visit to the Chamber of Deputies, he explained that "Codelco has a position to develop
these projects, but you have to be cautious and do not promise that this will go at a speed that is not feasible,
it is not credible that it goes too fast, "he said.
The executive explained that the company is in "a state too early", which is due to
that the properties that it maintains in the salt flats of Maricunga and Pedernales, were considered as
part of its water resources and never evaluated exploit them by lithium or some other mineral.
