TALISMAN Mining has unveiled a number of encouraging iron ore drillhole results from its North Marra Mamba prospect, in the East Pilbara.



Results from the prospect – part of the company’s Wonmunna iron project – included two 4m sections of 61.63% iron and 61.57% iron.

Other lengthier finds measured 22m at 56.6% iron and 32m at 55.43% iron.

Talisman said the results were consistent with company expectations and confirmed the prospect’s strong haematite-goethite iron mineralisation.

The Wonmunna iron project lies close to the West Angeles, Area C and Hope Downs iron ore operations, run by major mining companies.
