Had a chance to read fully that article from Australia IT yesterday, and it made very hopeful reading. You guys in Oz, and us here in the UK (together probably with the citizens of every free democracy) have a circle to square: how you maintain freedom and privacy, whilst combatting those extremists whose very existence is dedicated to eliminating our way of life.
I know I'm biassed, I've put my shirt on BQT (well most of my Black Sabbath teeshirt, anyway), but I believe that BQT stands out from the biometric crowd in just the right way. With their system the biometric data resides on the CARD, not on any database that could be abused, so there's no privacy issue with BQT.
BQT are not mentioned in the article, agreed, but they market through third party systems installers/integrators, so who knows.
Thanks again for your input, matey - keep it coming.
Cheers,
Sid
