That's a pretty strong statement. A statement of fact!. That being the case, would you care to share your source? Do you have an extract of the JOA to support your assertion? Or is it a case of hearsay? The "snapshot" from ele's post?.

Perhaps directed at me, perhaps not, ... doesn't matter..but please do have a read of my first post as to why, IMO, Petrosen does not have PE rights. I've provided my reasoning for making those comments and I have followed up that post with further explanatory posts. That's my opinion. Now you state it as fact and if true, then you are entitled to question those who, up until now, think that Petrosen does not hold PE rights.
Fair enough, all good to question the content of those posts ( or the thought processes/rationale of those who believe that Petrosen does not have PE rights), but to simply come out and make a factual statements " ALL the JV partners have PE rights.", with no basis or corroborating support is just way short of the mark.
If you base your assertion on the content of Ele's e-mail response from CN.. well I got news for you.

Not disputing the content of Ele's post at all.. BUT will simply say this... don't believe everything you read or being said, or stated "on the fly"!!. Working on the "other business end" to that of GilbertP I've seen and lived and experienced it first hand for a long long time. I shan't elaborate.

Just wondering why Petrosen have not made as much as a squeak over the past 7 months. And now all of a sudden it's being stated that Petrosen has PE rights.
Let's not get confused by the words used by COP in their initial Notice which stated: " subject to government approval and pre-emptive rights ( later changed to "applicable" pre-emptive rights).. Could mean to refer to all JV partners or any one or more of the JV Partners.. just so you have that straight.
Hoping you got your hands on a copy of the JOA so we could have a read.
One big question, DB. Can your source unequivocally confirm WHO the signatories to the JOA are?.
I'm not talking about farm-in agreements, PSC or any other ancillary agreements.. I'm talking only about the JOA.. who are the parties/signatories to that agreement. If you have a definitive answer on that, we might be halfway to being 100% correct on any assumption re PE rights..
but it would be interesting to know that bit of detail for starters.
