A perfect scenario for Vanadium storage. I agree it will be a game changer once they become more affordable. They will be a disruptive technology, and perfect to solve power grid supply problems in Summer.
Interesting you are thinking about the Ukraine - It has got me questioning run time of diesel generators vs vanadium battery scenarios. I can just picture smaller versions of the battery outside small factory workshops around central Europe and developing countries.
Also just think, NBN could use the batteries to prevent all the outage disruptions they have - *sigh* sadly if only this were true.
