The process is definitely automated, but weather or not it constitutes AI is perhaps a matter of opinion. From what I understand, I would call it big data processing algorithms. I interpret AI to mean deep learning, and there is nothing in their description that requires that.
Nevertheless I concede that it is quite possible they are using deep learning to identify and extract relevant information from the raw data (e.g. finding financial information such as earnings, debt and equity in financial reports). However, it seems clear that the Snowflake itself is generated according to strict criteria based on that data, not some deep learning assessment of the data.
All IMO.
