It states the drill failed to find enough oil to exploit when drilling on Kora 1 and has plugged the well. A decision on whether to press ahead with exploring the block will be taken later this year after analyzing the results.
It also goes into Noble Energy acquired a 30% stake on the block, alongside Ophirs 44.2% and that it was Nobles first venture in West Africa, and the company acquired an option to become technical operator on the block if Kora 1 had struck enough oil.
Thats abount it with out getting done for copy right.
Guess thats a positive , as oil signs were found. Ophir will be wanting Noble to take it up , as it lessons the rish factor and would help our cause with Senegal. Time tables are out though with Ophir option approaching.
Its all about having enough plays spread across the board , thus de risking your company and such waters.
