I am trying to get some understanding of the time frame associated with the ArTiMist treatment.
From what I understand the course of treatment consists of 6 administrations. Is this one administration per day for 6 days or twice a day for 3 days? I guess that there is a blood test before each administration or is it start, midpoint and finish?
I note that in March it was reported in the Phase 11a results that 86% of patients had negative parasite counts by the 2nd day of treatment. This possibly indicates that tests are taken after each 2 applications. It also indicates that the results/effectiveness can be measured pretty quickly without an elongated time in a laboratory.
Does anyone know for sure what the time frame is from start of application to the end of the 6th application and when the final test is taken?
Once I can get a handle on the timeframe I should be able to have a better understanding as to when the trial can realistically be expected to be finalised. My best guess as noted in my earlier post is Easter 2012 but as I am a biotech pessimist when it comes to time frames I do like to try to convince myself at times to be an optimist!!!!
