Could OBJ beat the long-term trend and outperform its industry?
I look at the ‘latest twelve-month’ data, which annualizes the latest 6-month earnings release, or some times, the latest annual report is already the most recent financial data. This method allows me to examine many different companies in a uniform manner using the latest information. For OBJ, its latest trailing-twelve-month earnings is -AU$1.00M, which compared to the previous year’s figure, has become less negative. Given that these values may be relatively nearsighted, I have determined an annualized five-year figure for OBJ’s earnings, which stands at -AU$2.10M. This shows that, although net income is negative, it has become less negative over the years.
