Tesla was the 16th most sold car overall in Australia in 2022. See https://www.carexpert.com.au/car-news/vfacts-australias-new-car-sales-results-for-2022. Also note the new lower cost Chinese imports BYD and Polestar are mentioned.
Nonetheless EV growth globally is a real and continuing phenomenon, so ARU's future (at least on the demand side) looks rosy.
BTW I find the following site quite informative on EV numbers etc. https://www.ev-volumes.com/ and it just happens to feature Global EV sales in 2022 on its homepage right now. This statement caught my eye, which goes some way to explaining China's desire to maintain its iron clad stranglehold on NdFeB magnet production:
China is, by far the largest EV market, with 59 % of global EV sales in 2022. Their role as the largest EV production base is even stronger, with 6,7 million units, 64 % of global volume, made in China. Nearly 580 000 EVs were exported from China, most of them (407k) by Western brands. The largest exporters were Tesla, SAIC, Dacia, Polestar, Volvo, Lynk & Co, BMW and BYD. All others exported below 10 000 units each.
