I think the Europe contracts were always at ARW's discretion - in other words, if a better price was in the offing then it could take advantage of it.
Like you, I recognise that current prices are well above the conservative numbers in the IPO document, and each ARW plant is going to deliver huge profits. And will do so right from the start. Given ARW's stated policy of distributing at least 40% of profits as dividend, AMU will soon have a nice revenue stream from this source to add the flood of US dollars it is reaping from its rapidly expanding US oil and gas production.
