I am afraid this is wrong. While PIF was originally an Octaviar creditor, PIF assigned its Octaviar assets to ARL in 2012 in return for ARL shares. Whether you approve of this transaction or not, it occurred, and ARL is the owner of those Octaviar assets. If or when Octaviar pays any cash to its creditors, whether large or paltry, it will be ARL, not PIF, which receives the money.
We are aware of the RPG situation but, for obvious reasons, do not wish to say anything about what, if anything, we will do with our RPG shares. Intelligent suggestions (like those from 2centsworth) are welcome but please don't be offended if we cannot respond to them.
