NBC News just published an article titled, "Inside the Justice Department's decision on whether to charge Trump in Mar-a-Lago case." Interestingly, the first case discussed in the article involves a young woman named Asia Janay Lavarello who was imprisoned for mishandling a document classified as "secret."
The way federal law enforcement authorities handled Ms. Lvarello's case as compared to the way they are handling Trump's far more egregious and dangerous crimes highlights a grave injustice at play in our nation. Hopefully, Attorney General Merrick Garland is about to take one giant step in the direction of remedying that disparity of treatment by indicting Donald Trump for his crimes.
