"Exploration Programme and Budget
QOL’s primary target at Wolfram Camp is represented by the SCZ, the alteration carapace within the granite
adjacent to its northern contact with the Hodgkinson Basin sediments. This zone occurs over an area 3km long
by 100m wide and the best mineralisation is likely to occur from surface to a depth 60m. Within this large area
the main targets of interest are zones of quartz greisen alteration containing disseminated mineralisation and also
hosting erratically distributed high grade quartz pipes.
The size and dimensions of individual quartz greisen zones within the SCZ are likely to be highly variable.
Nevertheless the Lane’s Decline stope, examined during BDA’s site visit, provides an indication of the potential
size that some of these zones can attain. This stope, the Lanes Decline 1-1 stope, was of the order of 100m long,
20-30m wide and 20-25m high. Given the extreme nugget-style distribution of the metallic minerals, it is
impossible to estimate a realistic target grade for the quartz greisen material although a grade of 2% combined
metal is considered by BDA as not unreasonable. Possibly the best indication of a potential grade is represented
by Tenneco’s sampling of fired face material from the Lane’s Decline 1-1 stope which yielded an average grade
of 1.5% WO3, 0.5% Mo and 0.07% Bi from 138 samples, although high grade quartz pipe material could have
contributed significantly to this average grade.
