re: As Hawke once said I dont know whether the Poms are ethnic or not, but being one, I can assure you that the Aussies are much better at playing cricket, eating pies and drinking beer than any Pom, and the only reason the Barmy Army is here is to learn how to do all these things. OZ is a great country and I am proud to be one, and nothing would make me return and live in the old country. I agree that OZ has its problems, as does the UK, but I know where I would rather be.
I don't like Hawke, never have and never will, his eyes are too shifty. Ex PMs should retire gracefully, with all their handouts they don't need to put their fingers in the pie anymore.
