The security weaknesses in enterprise systems and processes are literally engineered into those systems and processes - netting to infinite loops of complexity, complacency and a complete inability to fix the obvious (and the basic) because the entire corporate political system is atrophied around budgets, executive egos, single points of resource failure and decades of decision inertia.

The bad guys are burdened with none of these silly enterprise distractions or machinations. That’s why they are winning.

Cybersecurity isn’t a tech problem - it’s a leadership problem - across the entire enterprise.
