IMO, this is different to the "Pinks Batts" fiasco as it is my understanding that there were NBN & Tesltra procedures to deal with the asbestos pits, but workers (employed by whom ?) did not follow these procedures.
Lets find out where the fault actually lies rather than just blaming Telstra or NBN.
There is legislation in place to ensure that not only employers abide by HSE regulations, but also employees.
Those involved in abusing the safety procedures should be taken to task - employers and / or contractors and employees.
