Sharls, if it is any help to you I'm sure you are not the only one sitting on paper losses. Sounds like you've done everything right before investing, like seeking advice and reading. But it is not your fault the market has gone down quite a bit from last year. Hardly any one saw this coming or the length of time it is taking to recover. Even the so called anaylsts and brokers didn't see it coming. They were all calling for a 7000 on the ASX by the end of 2007. I hope our governmnet take serious steps and action to investigate the actions of the hedge funds on our market and try to control it in a more controlled way.
