ASF recently secured A$7 million in funding for future development via a loan facility with Star Diamond Developments.
Last month the company took up a substantial shareholding of 22.7% in Rey Resources (ASX: REY) after subscribing to 115 million shares in two tranches. The investment in Rey complements the existing exploration activities of ASF in the Canning Basin of Western Australia.
ASF became a substantial shareholder of ActivEX (ASX: AIV) earlier in the year and holds a 13.04% stake.
Recently the company's primary focus has been on adding value to the group’s mineral tenements, particularly those in the Canning Basin of Western Australia - which are held by the Group’s 48.95% owned associate ASFR.
ASFR’s Canning Basin Project comprises 7 exploration licences covering a total area of around 1500 square kilometres, targeting sub bituminous thermal coal within the Permian Lightjack Formation.
