I think my view on this is well known by know and if it isn't, read my posts above.
That said, the venom in which some here have expressed their attack upon me based on their false belief that I must support refugees, only serves to drive home the simple fact that indeed Australia has many racists here.
Over the past few weeks, including today when a one time high profile aussie rules player described an aboriginal player as an "abo" and another described aboriginals as 'cannibals', I think by denying that racist sentiment exists in Australia is a bit like saying night will never follow day.
As for this misguided ex St John's volunteer at Leonora, her disgraceful conduct prior to comments is typical of views held by many in rural WA.
Denial is a wonderful thing until the evidence of racism is so overwhelming, that denial becomes laughable.
