    What does your post and reply to my original post have to do with the fact that a St John's Ambulance volunteer refuses to give medical help to another human being in need of medical care?

    You seem to make some connection between the above and the issues surrounding refugees.

    Any person who agrees to give medical aid to other human beings I would have thought would not think twice about it. You see, this is the problem with this issue. People allow their views to cloud their sense of humanity and the basic idea of just doing the right thing.

    Any person in need of medical care deserves medical care regardless of their circumstanses.

    Your attitude and the attitude of some of the other posters here just reinforces my view that I am indeed ashamed of being an Australian.
