She is just another victim of political correctness.
She was expressing a sentiment that she is unhappy that resources are being used on illegal immigrants - as are the vast majority of Australians - in a frank and candid manner. I highly doubt she would actually have refused to assist in a real situation - however from her point of view its Aussie citizens first and illegal non-citizens second.
All that would have been required is for her management to reinforce her responsibilities and then she can continue doing her valuable work.
But in the PC world - what you say is more important than what you think.
So the ambulance service has lost two experienced employees - sacrificed in the name of political correctness. Good luck replacing them in Leonara!
