Ashby has stated that he will appeal. He has also stated that none of his claims have been heard in court despite the fact that he lodged them 8 months ago.
It will be interesting to see if Roxon and co shut up while this process is underway. But it's not likely given what various Labor ministers said this morning.
One justification for the $50,000 commonwealth payout was "to avoid large legal bills"!!!! Let's see what Roxon says about this.
