Re your request for odds on Tony Abbott being PM 12 months beyond the election; I only gamble in the sharemarket and profess to having no knowledge about such betting.

To be fair, the Coalition persisted with John Howard even when it was apparent to mainstream Australians that they should have given him the gong. They stick to losers!

If elected as PM I would expect Abbott to lead the Coalition into the next election. Given his inability to cope with scrutiny, his inability to remain across the detail and his inability to say no to millionaires my guess is that only the failure of Labor to find a credible leader would see him re-elected.

An Abbott Govt. poses the same sort of risk the Fraser years did!
