Malcolm Turnbull has a great background in the telecommunications sector and is my leader of choice. But on the NBN he has been compromised.

Turnbull is doing his level best to prop up Tony Abbott's economics stupidity; leading to Turnbull the pollie to float figures about the NBN that are a greater distortion of reality than Abbott's comments about Whyalla being wiped off the map by Julia Gillard's Great Big Carbon Tax on everything.

The Coalition's froadband will supposedly cost $30b; of course that does not factor in the extra $5,000 each household will have to pay to connect to it or the cost of eventually having to replace remaining and corroding copper part of the network some years later. Let alone lost opportunity costs for Australia.

Labor's NBN is in our faces but at $40b is massively superior. It delivers for everyone, provides Aussies with a great competitive advantage and is not just kicking the can down the road.
