Pressure will be the biggest thing that could bring Australia undone.
Was just reading where Ponting was denying that the '05 series result would have any effect on this series. For mine, that sort of denial is dangerous. He'd be much better off coming out and saying that it is a factor, and they will be using it to motivate themselves etc.
Denial in these situations causes all sorts of problems. Reminds me of Greg Norman, who for years, denied that his extraordinarily bad luck in US majors in the mid 80's placed more pressure on him. This denial simply increased the pressure on him.
It surprises me, that in these days with all these sports psychologists etc, that these guys handle some of these situations quite poorly.
Time will tell, and the first day of the series could be telling in some ways.
On paper, Australia should win, but if the Poms get off to a good start in the series, look out.
