    APEC is moving towards an international data privacy regime - see todays AFR, p.27. Meanwhile in Australia, the Privacy commissioner is to update by month's end guidelines for businesses in dealing with privacy breaches.

    IMHO 2008 is shaping up as a big year for business & government awareness of data privacy.
