    The Office of the Australian Privacy Commissioner recently found that one third of Australians surveyed said "they would not deal with a company with lax data protection standards". see http://www.itsecurityexpo.com.au/content/view/70/45/ Survey results were released as part of last September's "Privacy Awareness Week".
