Kinda hard to sell gas for your second train when you don't have the gas. A 'credibility gap'. I think that is called 'short-selling' - selling stuff you don't yet own. Santos know all about that. Not sure that Asian buyers are that interested in Santos' short-sold second train.

Buyers generally like some evidence that you can deliver.

But, would love to be proved wrong. Santos finds a customer/equity partner for GLNG, Santos finds extra gas hidden down the back of Knoxie's couch... and ESG can go its own way with its own plans. Win-win?

If I were an Asian buyer, I would be saying to Santos:

"Mr Knox, you go get your leserves for yor second tlain, then we talk. Until then, we only talk wis Mr Casey."Sank you vely much."

and, "is Rara Bingl still single?"
