Not necessarily Australians, who happen to have Asian ancestry. But also, Asian foreigners who has permanent resident (PR). Previously, PR can be commonly obtained through business & education/skilled migration...... BUT NOW anyone can become permanent resident by applying for visa 888, as long as they spend $5 mil on any property. Isn't that easy !!!!
Once these foreigners obtain PR, then they can buy as many as they want.... used, new, off the plan, haunted, heritage, whatever..... not really a hot air ballon.
