Going to high school/uni with 80-90% of my class being Asian I don't see what issue you have. 2nd generation I find generally prefer Australian culture/english over what their parents try to force on them (Not too sure about the Koreans though...).
The more recent northern Chinese immigrants I find are much more nationalistic but most of their kids seem to follow the cantonese trend.
