CCC: ASIC:ACCC:APRA Unholy Trinity. Further to my previous posts re: Algo-bot trading. If the unholy Trinity are ignoring our concerns then it’s time to change from the orthodox to the heterodox approach. I have today contacted ACCC on the basis that if ASIC is the referee of the game then ACCC should be the groundkeeper! As usual my concern has been logged. Then, at the suggestion of ACCC I contacted the Financial Services Ombudsman who advised that the best course of action was to brief my member of parliament. So political it is: As any student of politics will advise it’s not political until it’s on the news and front page. Therefore: I’m now writing some briefing notes for political commentators, business analysts, shock Jocks, journalists, tabloid TV and even the ABC. If the authorities are not going to address our concerns then the only option is the court of public opinion. Then we might get some action. If others have any thoughts or comments please post.
