Speeding fine..
if they drive the price of company X down from $1 to $.90 per share using small trade manipulation amongst other tactics, buy 1M shares. Pump the price back to $1 - sell. $100k profit. Do this 8 times and they've paid the fine.
It takes money to make money but imagine this happening across just 100 ASX companies each week. Just a 10% move would yield $10m in revenue.
