I see that the Australian Securities investment commission has done a raid on Evans Deakin. This may be well deserved, but I can't help but think that the Evans Deakin model was very similar to what Macquarie was doing 11 and 12 years ago in particular. A matter of fact I would have thought that Macquarie would have been so proud of such imitation as to be provided with a compliment!
What is it about Macquarie that they seem to escape proper scrutiny from the authorities?? They even seem to skate through the Royal Commission unharmed! Now I am not saying that Macquarie is up to any of these trips at this point in time, but I would have thought that they were up to some funny things in the not so long back past that the Royal Commission could well have found fault.
