If this practice is not outlawed or seriously regulated (if that's at all possible) i can see a time in the not too distant future when only bot traders will exist in the market place. Where brokerage's sophisticated machines rival against one other, tearing the market in all directions and never allowing a natural balance to reflect the true market value of a company's sp. Small investors like myself who help sustain the market are already disillusioned and cannot survive in this controlled & contrived environment. The endstate will be a total collapse of the share market as we know it. Dramatic view but inconceivable . imo.
