    Agreed to an extent, I am into my early fifties and pondering an early retirement , so for me it was about capital growth and the likelihood within a couple years it would also start paying an ok dividend , but I realised that would only come in time after debt from the bmc acquisition was paid off.

    However if there are other cheap assets bhp want to give away where they are selling them at low P/E multiples as with bmc , we would be crazy not to be trying to buy them. With a few cashed up players floating around now but like whc , nhc, yal , crn, I don’t think they will get these next mines as cheap as the bmc deal , but if each of those buyers , and given how the market prices all of them , can’t see a bargain price , suspect all will happily walk away .

    I will be very surprised if the met coal price stays above 300 for rest of year ( which is more likely than less likely in my view ) if this stays sub 5 dollars by end of year .
